Start with the provider and the merchant

A payment usually involves at least two parties: the payment provider that moves or records value, and the merchant or platform that receives it. A method may work for ordinary merchant payments but still be absent from a particular platform’s cashier. The payment-service provider’s authorisation is separate from the merchant’s licence, account rules and product availability.

The Central Bank of Kenya publishes directories for payment service providers. Its directory dated 10 August 2026 lists Safaricom PLC and Airtel Money Kenya Limited among authorised providers for mobile-money payment services. That directory confirms provider status on its stated date; it does not verify that a particular sportsbook accepts either provider or that a transaction will succeed.

Choose the guide that matches the issue

The pages are informational, not a live help desk for a bank, wallet, bookmaker or app store. If an issue concerns a specific transaction, use the official channel of the provider or merchant shown in your receipt or account. Do not use phone numbers sent to you by an unknown person.

A safe baseline before using any payment feature

  • Check the exact merchant name and payment description in the official cashier.
  • Review the amount, currency, account details, fees and applicable limits before confirming.
  • Keep the provider’s original confirmation and transaction reference.
  • Never disclose a PIN, password or one-time code to a support caller or this website.
  • If a prompt is unexpected, cancel it and contact the provider through its published official channel.
This site does not process payments, request credentials, store payment details or test deposits and withdrawals. Availability, tariffs and limits can change; confirm them directly with the provider and platform.
